Daniel-Style Grocery List

Got your buggy ready? Follow me as we make our way around the grocery store. I will give you the names of the trusted brands I use to save you time reading labels. For shopping strategy, I usually go to Costco first as they have bulk fruits, vegetables, and frozen foods pretty cheap and are carrying more organics. I then supplement by going to EarthFare, then Publix. I chose each food item based on availability and versatility to use in recipes, many of which can be found right here on this blog. When it comes to fruits and vegetables, please buy fresh or frozen as they are most nutritious and naturally preservative and salt free. Note that I left off bread, cereal, and crackers as you will be hard pressed to find one that meets all three requirements of being sugar free, yeast free, with no enriched flour in it. Always get in the practice of reading labels to look for hidden culprits. Education through information is key! When it comes to sugar, as long as there is no “added sugar” you are fine, as in 100% fruit juice. The basics we will need are:

Non-dairy:
Thai Kitchen’s unsweetened canned coconut milk (for smoothies and soups)
