Hello world! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas filled to the brim with all of God’s goodness. After having our traditional meal on Sunday, we opted to grill steaks on Christmas Day and I must say my husband did a fabulous job. We feasted on buttery ribeye steaks, parmesan roasted potato wedges, garden salad, and cherry yum yum for dessert. So now looking ahead, we plan to have a traditional Thanksgiving where I cook, and Christmas Day where my husband grills. Sounds like a plan and a beautiful gift to me. 🙂
Speaking of gifts, I am typing the blog on my new IPad 4th generation, a gift from my husband (thanks honey!), and my sister presented me with this stoneware cake pan (pictured above) I wanted. I went to her house and she had the most beautiful cake in the oven baked up high in this stoneware, and she was sweet enough to order me one for Christmas (love her!). I can’t wait to bake a pound cake in this baby. I think I will name her “Dottie.” It is no secret, I am affectionate toward my cookware/appliances, and I know them all by name. Some girls like Gucci and Prada, but give me All-Clad and Kitchen-aid!
Well, the year is almost over and I wanted to spend some time revisiting and reblogging our top blogs this year, as determined by you, our readers. I cannot tell you how much fun I had writing, taking pictures, and cooking my way into your lives, and for that I am profoundly thankful. Here’s to a look back at this year, with a nod to great things to come in 2013.
