Hello all! The summer break is over, kids are back in school, birthday confetti is swept up, and now it is time to get back to blogging. The last few months have been a big transitioning period for me personally, professionally, and health wise, so I am comfortably settling in to a new normal. The Fall season tends to lend itself to a “settling down” (so to speak) of what we have had in the fire, or on the drawing boards, and I would like to share one big transformation I have made for my health recently…and that is going gluten free!
I know the term may be new to some, as it was for me, so I wanted to spend today’s blog defining what is gluten, and how it affects some who are allergic or intolerant to it. I will be sharing more of my personal story of why I decided (or as my body would say – forced) to delete wheat/gluten from my diet. In the meantime, click on the link below to become educated on what gluten is and how it impacts the body. I will be kicking around this term alot, “gluten-free,” (GF for short) on my blog, so I wanted for you to be aware of what that means.
I had a few health issues that were seemingly unrelated, but possibly had one common thread – a possible link pointing to gluten, and I was shockingly surprised at how things started to make sense of why I was feeling the way I was feeling. I can tell you now that my body is on a healing mend, in great part because I listened to what it was telling me.
I am pleased to announce that from here on out, this blog will be a delicious, knock your socks off, gluten-free zone. 🙂 Check out the article below to learn more. It is very fascinating. See you soon!
